Hold On
As her Papa was leaving for a weekend trip, Wee Two picked a leaf from our Maple tree in the front yard and handed it to him. He told her to hang on to it for him until he got back. This kid literally "held on" to this leaf for the rest of the day. It took great convincing on my part to let her know that putting the leaf in a drawer qualified as "hanging onto the leaf" for Papa.

Carlos Jr.
We have been trying to correct this forever. Wee Two insists that Carl's Jr. is in fact Carlos Jr. No amount of persuasion has swayed her. We have no idea where she got this from.

Tinkerbell
Wee one is experiencing some interesting challenges with her baby teeth pulling due to "crowding." The dentist pulled her first two baby bottom teeth out last week. She put them under her pillow and the following morning told me with great conviction that she knew the Tooth Fairy is real because she has evidence. But she is not sure about Tinkerbell.
Good Mood
I allowed wee two to carry our lunch from Arby's into the house and as she walked by our sweet 96 year old neighbor he asked her what was in the bag. And she sang, "It's Good Mood Food!" She may have seen the commercial once or twice :)

My oldest loves to know everyone. Including my husbands co-workers and boss. the other day he was talking to his boss on the phone, his name is Jon. When he hung up my daughter asked, "Was that Jon, your boss or John the Baptist?"
Real
My oldest loves to sing continually, about anything, usually what she's doing at the time. Example, 'I'm eating my food because mommy says I have to..' and so on. One day she was singing particularly loud, it was on the verge of outright yelling so I told her she needed to sing softer. And she looked me in the eyes and said," But mom, then it isn't real."
Perfect Prayer
We are teaching our little girl how to pray and letting her do it on her own. 9 times out of 10 she gives the same prayer, "Dear Heavenly Father, please help me. In the name of Jesus Christ Amen."

Virtue
Being the mom of all girls, I find myself paying special attention to counsel given to girls and women. Obviously I want the very best for my girls, I'm doing all I can to teach them to be ladies, to learn, know, and remember who they are, where they came from and where they are going. Virtue has been added to the Young Women's theme and I came across this quote I now love
"Give me a young woman who loves home and family, who reads and ponders the scriptures daily, who has a burning testimony of the Book of Mormon. Mapa
Both of my girls have really good language skills, which I'm thankful for. My youngest started putting complete, correct sentences together a few months ago. She does have a little trouble in one area. When both my husband and I are in her presence she gets us a little confused, instead of Mama or Papa she just calls us both 'Mapa.' It's really cute.
Broken Nose
Like everyone else we have had our share of colds, coughs and runny noses. The other day my youngest was holding her nose in her hand and walked over to me and said in the saddest little voice, "Oh no, my nose is broken." I moved her hand and saw that she had a runny nose. I assured her it was okay, but in her mind her nose is as good as broke, every time she has a runny nose, she continues to tell me that her nose is broken.
Human
I was chasing my almost 2 yr old around the house to get her hair done, and I said, "Come here you little rabbit." She stopped, turned around, and said, "I not a rabbit, I a human!"
Spills
I walked into the front room and heard my daughter's panicked voice say, "It's okay Mama," and I immediately felt my disciplinary self rise because this is usually what she says when I walk in on her doing something she knows she's not suppose too.
"It's okay if we spill, because the carpet soaks it up and we don't have to wipe it up, it takes care of the mess for us!"
Caught off guard by her logic, I started laughing, it makes perfect sense right?

Kleadle
In our kitchen floor we have a vent. And just before it started getting cold I noticed a spider had made it's home there. I tried to kill it but was to slow and just got it's leg. Disgusting, I know. Both of my girls were watching me screaming and yelling like an idiot and asked what happened. I told them the tale concluding with 'I guess we need to put off some bug bombs.' Later that week, I found my daughter singing into the vent, which is totally normal for her. I became curious when I heard her talking to someone for an extended period of time. When I asked her who she was talking to, she replied without hesitiation, "Kleadle."
"Who is Kleadle?" I asked, thinking we had started some imaginary friend phase.
"My pet spider, he hurt his leg and I'm singing to him to cheer him up."
I was surprised that she had remembered the spider from days before, and further surprised that she had named him.
Since then she sings and talks to Kleadle almost daily. She gives me updates on how his leg is healing and what kind of mood he's in.
He has become her cherished friend, and of course I don't have the heart to tell her that he is no longer with us. I guess it doesn't matter because to her he is.

Halloween Happenings
I asked my daughter what she would like to be for Halloween several weeks ago and she told me that she wanted to be a princess, so we got a cute little pink dress. A few days later she told me that she wanted to be a Fairy princess, so we grabbed some cute pink wings. Perfect they matched great and she looked way cute. Then we run across this headband with flower petals on it, and of course my daughter now wants to wear that on her head and be a Flower Fairy Princess. It's interesting, not what I had in mind, slightly silly looking, but she's a little kid. So for sure we have this Halloween costume thing taken care of right? Yesterday she comes up to me with this serious look on her face and said, "Mom, I need to be Spiderman for Halloween." super
It's Spaghetti!
We had left over spaghetti for lunch and I didn't mix it very well after heating it in the microwave so there was some cold and hot spots.
After giving wee 2 a taste, she spit it out because it was too hot. I heard wee 1 say 'Oh!'
Me: Is it too hot?
wee 1: No.
Me: Is it too cold?
wee 1: No.

wee 1: No

Hey we haven't talked to you guys for a while!! Your girls sure are cute! I am glad Mitch went with Jason to the game...(so I didn't have to!!!) Madden and I went to Gardner Village to, it's so cute I love that place! We need to get together and do something fun with our families!!
